1. It’s Bad For Your Heart

First of all, it’s better for your heart to sleep on your left side. It’s much better for your blood circulation to lie down on your left side, as the aortic artery is bent to the left side.

That’s why the body has more difficulty pumping the blood when you are lying on your right side. Your body would have to pump the blood ‘uphill’.

2. It’s Bad For Your Lymph Drainage

Your lymph are mostly responsible for getting rid of all the toxins in your body. This process is also called lymph drainage. And it’s much better for your lymph drainage if you sleep on your left side.

The lymph get stimulated to drain toxins if you lie down on your left side, since toxins are drained on the left side of your body.
