5. Get Rid of Ants
Table salt is one of the best and the cheapest ways to get rid of ants naturally and without using any harmful chemicals. To use this trick, use ordinary table salt, not health boosting rock salt. All you need to do is to boil water and add a large amount of salt to it. Then stir it until the salt dissolves. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and spray where you think ants tend to enter from. This will deter ants from coming close to the spot that you sprayed, so your home will be ant-free in no time.
6. Clean the fridge
When cleaning your refrigerator, you might be tempted to use cleaning agents and other products that you can buy in the supermarket. However, these are usually full of chemicals that can linger on your food, produce bad odours and are generally not good for your health when they’re used in a place that stores food. After emptying your fridge, just dissolve a cup of salt in a gallon of hot water and wipe away. Squeeze in the juice of a lemon for a nice scent. You’ll see that this salt mixture works just as well as the cleaners that you can buy in the store!
7. Get Rid of Sweat Stains
Everybody has had to deal with them: those stubborn yellow sweat stains where your white shirt meets your armpits. Many people use all kinds of chemical cleaners to make them disappear, but really, salt’s all you need to get rid of these stains. Just dissolve 4 tablespoons salt in 1 quart (1 liter) hot water. After that, simply sponge the garment with the solution until the stain disappears. Your white T-shirt will look as good as new again!
